AirMakers Heating and Cooling is making the investment in the next generation of HVAC professionals. Our 5200-hour On-the-Job Learning (OJL) combined with 1888 hours of Related Instruction (RI) from any North Carolina Community College, gives individuals opportunity to learn and practice HVAC install and repair services. AirMakers partners with ApprenticeshipNC and Wake Technical Community College WakeWorks Program to provide the necessary hands-on training that individuals need to successfully complete the program. Plus, upon successful completion, many of our apprentices go on to have successful careers directly with AirMakers or find placement across other Southeast Mechanical businesses.

Registered apprenticeships require a minimum of 5200 hours of training and 1888 hours of classroom instruction. Apprentices are awarded an official Journeyworker’s certificate upon completion of the apprenticeship that displays the mastery of skills within their field.

Yes, if you are successfully enrolled into the program through either Wake Tech’s Wake Works program or our Environmental Control Syst. Install/ Services (HVAC) Apprenticeship program through ApprenticeshipNC you will earn a paycheck. As soon as your AirMakers program starts, you start earning a paycheck from AirMakers.

It takes 1888 hours of coursework, which typically equates to approximately 4-5 years. In addition, you will need 5200 hours of on-the-job training through AirMakers.

Yes, the AirMakers Apprenticeship program is accredited through the North Carolina Community College System and ApprenticeshipNC.

Upon successful completion, each apprentice will receive a Journeyworker’s certificate upon completion.
